28th Annual Newmarket Voice Festival SyllabusVocal Solo - Foreign LanguageEntry Fee $35 Own choice of song in a language other than English and that is foreign to the participant. Art songs and folksongs are acceptable. No arias from opera or oratorio. NEW: Singers may enter this category multiple times with repertoire that has not previously been sung in the Festival, but a separate entry and fee is required for each song.
Vocal Solo - English Sacred Song Entry Fee $35 Selection must be a sacred text sung in English. No spirituals or oratorio arias. (See Sprirituals class, Oratorio class) NEW: Singers may enter this category multiple times with repertoire that has not previously been sung in the Festival, but a separate entry and fee is required for each song.
Vocal Solo - Foreign Language Sacred Song Entry Fee $35 Selection must be sung in a language other than English and foreign to the participant. Selection must not be from an oratorio. Sacred Vocal Duet, Trio, Quartet - Any Language Entry Fee $45 Selection may be from an oratorio, Mass setting or any other source based on a sacred text.
