28th Annual Newmarket Voice Festival Syllabus

Songs from the Screen and More
Entry Fee $35
All songs should be age-appropriate. Style and lyric content should be suitable for ALL ages and audiences.
Live piano accompaniment only.
Selection may be:

from an animated film, movie, Disney, Pixar, tv show/series, Netflix

a stand-alone song in musical theatre style (has not been staged)

songs from film musicals or that first appeared in a film

songs written for musicals but were cut from the stage show

songs from song cycles

Please note: Songs that appear in movies or jukebox musicals but were originally released as commercial pop songs should be entered in Popular Voice. (SING, Mamma Mia, etc.)
Please refer to the online syllabus at www.omfa.ca for song suggestions and a song chart! If unsure whether a song fits the criteria for this new category, please email the Director at newmarketvoicefestival@gmail.com before entering.
New! Singers may enter this category multiple times with repertoire that has not been previously performed in the Festival, but a separate entry and fee is required.

SSAM02	Any Voice - 21 and Under
SSAM03	Any Voice - 18 and Under
SSAM04	Any Voice - 16 and Under
SSAM05	Any Voice- 14 and Under
SSAM06	Any Voice - 12 and Under
SSAM07	Any Voice - 10 and Under
SSAM08	Any Voice - 8 and Under
SSAM09	Any Voice - 6 and Under

Vocal Duets - Own Choice
Entry Fee $45
Own choice of vocal duet. Any style. Any voice combination.
Both participants must meet the age requirements below, except in the case of two family members and the Open category.
